Substitute Roles
Help maintain classroom continuity and student progress when regular staff are unavailable. Choose from flexible options:
On-Call Substitutes
- Matched directly to assignments as coverage is needed.
Independent Substitutes
- Choose your own assignments and schedule.

Tiered Support Team
Our tiered staffing model provides growth opportunities — from general classroom support to credentialed behavioral intervention.
General Paraeducators (Tier 1)
- Support classroom instruction and behavior routines.
- Encourage engagement and inclusion.
- Assist teachers with lesson activities and organization.
- Promote a positive and productive learning environment.
- Behavioral Support Paraeducators (Tier 2)
- Deliver 1:1 behavioral and academic support.
- Implement intervention plans and track progress data.
- Help students build independence and self-regulation.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and district staff.
Certified / Registered Behavior Technicians (CBT / RBT / BT)
- Implement Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) under BCBA supervision.
- Support students using evidence-based strategies in classroom settings.
- Collect and document data accurately.
- Active CBT (DOH) or RBT (BACB) credential required; crisis intervention training preferred.
BCBAs & BCaBAs
(Contracted Role — future salaried opportunities as BECS expands)
Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts provide leadership, supervision, and expertise in behavior intervention and inclusion support.
Responsibilities
- Active BCBA or BCaBA certifi cation in good standing.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing and supervising intervention plans.
- Knowledge of educational systems preferred.
Qualifications:

General Requirements for All BECS Roles
- High school diploma or equivalent (degree/credentials required for some positions).
- Successful federal fingerprinting and background check. (No criminal record)
- Reliable transportation.
- Three professional references.
- Active credentials/certifications for specialized roles.
- Crisis intervention certification (CPI, Right Response, or Safety Care) preferred.

Progression Pathway:
Substitute → Paraeducator → CBT → RBT → BCaBA → BCBA/LBA
